sharing images - url points to gallery

im sure this is a quick fix but can't for the life of me find how to do it

currently when im sharing via facebook/twitter/google+ etc the default link points people at the gallery the image is in, rather than the actual image

can anyone point in the right direction to change this please? :thumb:clap

I like to use the "Share A Link" menu. Go to the second tab "Gallery Links." Copy the lightbox URL. I then just paste that on my FB. I know you can do this directly with the Share to Facebook but I like to write something I'm posting about, and delete my header tag info from beside the photo.

See what you mean, but surely there must be a way (especially now, since the changes) that you can decide to link back to the image & not the gallery?

Thanks for the instructions, but I don't have a share button on my galleries. I can't find anywhere to remove / add it?

I assume you didn't remove it with CSS.

Is sharing turned off in your galleries? If it is you will only see the share button when you are logged in.
Check the Social section of your gallery settings. To have the sharing options show for your viewers you need to set "Show Sharing Options" to on.
