customization of just one gallery

can someone walk me thru the customization of just one gallery. I followed a thread but the choice of just this gallery does not appear.

    Browse to you gallery like you are going to view it. Then click customize and choose customize site. It drops you into the gallery so you can customize it. Then you can click Make This Gallery Custom and it will prompt you. Make this Gallery Custom? It will no longer inherit customizations, blah blah blah. Click Yes.

    Then make changes as needed, theme, layout, navbar etc.
