Looking for Critique dirt bike photos

I am a beginner photographer shooting with a Canon 7D (love it) I have a few photo's I'd like to share and get feed back. I have thick skin so don't hold back.

    The second shot is much better than the first. Better composition, exposure and focus. The first looks soft.

    Crop in close, the track is boring (track, arena, field - applies to almost every sport), the people are interesting. Nice panning in the second especially.
