Homepage scrolling and random gallery previews

Okay, so I'm just about finished customizing over @ www.benjamincolesander.com , and I only have two more questions.

1. Right now on the homepage, is there a way to turn off scrolling? There's no reason for it and it's kind of distracting. Right now you can scroll down to where there's no images.

2. In Legacy SmugMug, gallery previews automatically showed a random image for the preview. Now it's defaulted to the "feature image" of the gallery. Is there any way to randomize it again?

1 you cannot use pinned feature since the menu is pinned
so , i would try something like :
position:fixed;
top:...px;
right:...px;
