Smart Galleries - two requests

1) Allow to choose images from a folder
2) Include a "recent" option in addition to "date range", where "recent" can be defined e.g. "uploaded in the last xx days".
Example:
In my "Genealogy" folder I'd like to have a "Recent Additions" gallery that covers all the galleries within that folder. That way my "helpers" can quickly see what's new and add their information via comments. Of course, this means I still need anonymous comments, at least within passworded galleries.

    I ran into this issue over the weekend came here looking for an answer. Definite +1 for this request. It will make everything so much easier!

    Both are excellent requests. They would solve a lot of issues we've heard about for years on both Legacy & now NewSmug... the ability to define "Recent Photos" is very needed! And something that can cover a whole folder of galleries... yes!! +1

    Hi Bill,

    Can you explain in more detail what you mean for #1? Currently You cannot house a photo in a Folder, so I am not sure how that would work.

    Let's say you have a folder with several galleries. What I'd like to be able to do is have the Smart Gallery pick photos from all the galleries in that folder, but not from any other folder, nor from galleries that are not in that folder.
    Per my example, the Smart Gallery I'd like to create would display "recent uploads" from all the galleries my Genealogy folder.
