Hockey season has come back to the beach with the return of the college club hockey team and the house select youth teams. Here is a sampling of both from this weekend. Constructive comments are greatly appreciated.

Nice captures, exposures, and white balance. These are through the glass? If so it looks like you found a clean spot. Good job.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Thank you Jack. I am fortunate with the light available in this rink. All shots are through the glass. They do keep it fairly clean and I am lucky that if I ask they will clean a spot for me.

I will definitely be posting more as the season moves along. I look forward to seeing some of your work.

Nice series. As mentioned, exposure and WB are good. Great job of framing the first 3 shots. You might try a little dodge tool on faces in 4 & 6 - it's a quick edit and can really make a difference when you're shooting any sport with helmets/dark spots on field/ice.

Thank you for the detailed response. I am going to try the trick with the dodge tool on them and keep that in my back pocket for future use.
