Fill Flash At Work

This most likely is better suited for the Sports section, but being as I hang out here and I don't do a lot of sports, coupled with the fact that this, to me, is a perfect example of using fill flash for maximum benefit, I thought I'd post it here.
High School football game with ok field lights from above. Shot at 5000 ISO with a bare SB-800 with a D-700 in HSS mode, mounted on a mono pod 18 inches below the camera pointing up. This allowed for fill under the helmet which otherwise would cause the face to be in a shadow.
I have found that using fill opens a vast array of possibilities with portrait work too.
