Shots all F11, 1/250th, ISO 250 - 320 - Taken with the Canon 100 F2.8L

I noticed the rather gruesome sight of a wasp munching away at a crushed snail (not sure how the snail got crushed), so I took a few shots.

Having gone indoors for a little while, I came back out to find murder most foul!. A wasp on its side in its last moments. I'm not sure if it was the same wasp or not but it was exhibiting some damage to the left flank of its thorax indicating an attack or something. I suspect another wasp as there had been a few little scuffles earlier.

Also a Video below.

..and a short Video complete with sound of dishes, someone's' child, ice cream van, buzzing bees, birds and a couple of cameo appearances from other tiny little creatures - hand held whilst trying not to pass out holding my breath :)

    Poor wasp ate too much....

Great pics btw, love that the light looks so natural.

Thank you Silvio. The natural looking light is the result of a combo of ISO 250 an diffused fill flash. Seems to work quite nicely.

    Murderer
You know, they say the killer always returns to the scene of the crime.

Second 24 just down and to the right of the wasp's abdomen a little brown creature trying not to get caught on the CCTV. There's your killer!!!!!

Actually I have no more Idea than the rest. Great shots though and fantastic video.
