Not for letting the weather beat me or the insects, here is a daylight (no flash) shot of the rosemary leaf beetle -also now getting caught by the rain. I'm only doing these today cos it's my day off, so no time after to wait for sunlight! It wasn't going anywhere - seemed resigned to not being bothered about a few raindrops (I have a 13 second video on the PC where it waved it's antennae a bit (just for proof if you need it that it wasn't dead!)

Fantastic shot mate. The high ISO one was good but this is outstanding.

Good stuff mate. Very nice for a 1.3second shot.

Whatever you do, don't post it on the DF photo comp lol... no photoshopping allowed AT ALL. Not even contrast, curves or anything.

I'm tempted to take a picture with my lens cap on, call it "misty blue morning on a martian afternoon" and submit that PMSL.

    Paul.
try to step out of the usual , and edit it

    the background kills the bug

your OOF background that i liked so much can be achieved in editing just as well as in the shooting part

    Hi Brian.

This was tripod mounted, mirror lock up, and cable release. Had to be sure of no movement my end!
