I have discovered that I can view my keyword results pages when logged in, but not when logged out.

My website is password protected, but the galleries are _not_ unlisted.

Is there any way to let a viewer see the keyword pages after having typed in the site password.

Paul

PS: I am using the new Smugmug

    Hi PBolchover,

I am really sorry, but at the moment keywords results page does not work on Password Protected websites.

It is an issue that our engineers are aware of and are working hard to solve this problem as soon as possible.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Hi,
Is there a way to make it so unlisted galleries are included in keyword searches?

There is another facet to my question:
What I am attempting to do is upload many photos to unlisted folders and galleries (I simply want them hidden from public). From there, using smugmugs internal organize tool, I will select a few images I want to include on public galleries. Specifically I want those particular images to be keyword searchable as well as have their key words on display.

    Thanks,

Unlisted galleries are included in search when you are logged in. They are not included for your visitors.

From the help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93291:
Gotchas: Only you, as the account owner, will be able to search for any keywords from unlisted or password-protected galleries. We only index the first 30 keywords for each photo. Keywords can take up to 24 hours to populate

You can set smart galleries to draw keywords from unlisted and passworded galleries.

Interesting - I didn't think the unlisted ones would show. Thanks for the correction.

From the smart gallery setup page.

Include my unlisted/password protected galleries: YES NO

It seems like including password-protected galleries in a smart gallery would be a violation of the password protection.

Not if you have a password on the smart gallery. Finally there's a way to put together a passworded
family search page pointing to these passworded smart galleries. I created a smart gallery for each
    family name.

That makes sense. What doesn't make sense is if the smart gallery isn't password-protected.

What happens then is that the photos in that smart gallery then don't show the "See photo in original gallery" link for photos that come from an unlisted gallery (or, I assume, pw protected gallery), so people still can't get to that original gallery. As the owner, if logged in, you see a "For your eyes only: see photo in original gallery" link, which reminds you that that photo is coming from an Unlisted gallery. This is a handy thing for me in a few cases. I mean, I'm talking Legacy here... but I gather it works the same in NewSmug.

For instance, this photo: http://www.winsomeworks.com/Travel/Rhode-Island/Best-of-Rhode-Island-Portfolio/25179737_PbJC64#!i=2081324890&k=wdz24mP is in a gallery with other photos collected from both listed & unlisted galleries. I see a link under this one, for its original gallery. You shouldn't be able to see it. The original gallery is a mess & not ready for public consumption yet, but I was trying to get a smattering of my RI pix up quickly for public view. So this allows me to do that while working on some parent galleries, etc. Or I can then keep more photos in a gallery for my own interest & keep that unlisted indefinitely while collecting a smaller number of the best ones for the public to view. Anyway, I really like these options as they solve some issues that I used to have before we could do this.

Entering the password should give access to all of the password-protected part, including keywords.
