I shot this in both 4x5 and digital (didnt want to wait for the slides to get processed :rofl ) and I think its successful at times and yet I feel like it didnt come out how I was hoping. So Im not really sure what to think of it :dunno

    I think you did very well on this one. Like the strong lighting and the bw processing is great. The low camera angle adds to the strength of the subject. His expression seems to tie in with what his badges represent.

    Thank you! The more I am looking at it, the more I am liking it. I wanted to mimic the lighting on this photo: http://www.danwintersphoto.com/gallery/large/overview_p22.jpg but a bit more harsh with the lighting and shadows. I did have another subject but I am not a fan of how it came out. There was a harsh shadow on his neck that I just couldnt get past and he was looking a bit too far to the side for my liking.

    I should have used a different light modifier and brought my reflector to help soften the shadow on the neck
