First Macro shots.

Picked up some cheap extension tubes and a ring light, still waiting on the ring light, to start doing some macro shots. Got the extension tubes yesterday and had time to pull them out today and play a little.
Sure is different than normal photography
Set up was simple, laid two Vivitar 285HV approximately 45 degrees to the right and left of the lens and around 6-8 inches from subject. Used a piece of white paper for diffusion, just plain computer printer paper. Fired with cheap wireless triggers.
Had all the extension tubes on and using my 70-200MM f2.8L IS I as a lens. Various flash powers and aperture settings. All done hand held.
One of my first shots, after getting exposure right.
Picture of both my wedding band and my wifes Rings being held by my Pozie
Comparison of the above shot without the extension tubes.
Finally just the wifes ring. Strange effect from the paper "tent" I was using to diffuse the flashes was obstructing the top portion of the lens, I like it though...
Overall I really like the extension tubes, basically the cheapest I could find with the electrical contacts and I am really looking forward to the ring light when I get it, seems to be a near identical knock-off of the Canon ring light.
Will post more when I get that flash, should be fun...
