A few from the Eastern Sierra Nevada Range

The east side of the Sierras has some stunning photo ops. These are from Highway 395 near June Loop turnoff, Silver Lake in the June Loop, and the Lundy Lakes area.

Are these from this year or past years, I heard the color was coming on early this year but there is a lot of it in the shot for this time of year.

I get updates from Parcher Resort and they said there was color starting to popped on the hillsides. I have even noticed trees around here and the wine counrty are starting to turn.
I spent the first week in October last year it was great the color and the fishing was also . trying to figure out timing for this year.
Taking my photo assistant this year aquired her shortly after last years trip

Welcome to Landscapes, Cavalier!

Lovely first set of images to introduce yourself. The first is my favorite. I've seen lots of old shacks against mountains like this in Wyoming and Montana. Not so much in CA. This is very nice and your processing is very intersesting.

I see you hail from Foresthill. I've driven by there thousands of times on my way skiing in Tahoe. Lucky you!

Chris - beautiful tri-color Cavalier. They make great assistants if all you want is someone to lick your lenses clean, wag a tail to blow dirt on them again and then expect a cookie in return!
I've also notice that our trees are starting to pop here and there. Can't wait for the turning!

Color is coming on earlier this year than last year according to Parchers Resort

I am planning about mid October this year to catch some of the lower elevations, did the first week of October last year and it was very nice
