i posted this pic on here a while ago, but now i'm trying to improve it to make a good print. i removed noise, touched up in lab, and sharpened. please tell me which you like better. i'm not sure if i like the warmer feel of the original or not. i'd appreciate any help, thanks!

I'll go with your edited version. It draws the viewer into the frame better. The original has a darker, slightly more sinister feeling - not a bad thing.

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

I like the shot. I'm not sure I can choose between the two. However if you showed me a nice contrasty B&W I'd probably choose that one.

15524779-Ti.gifBut from those two I have to say the 2nd, but I find the bright light at the top very distracting.

I like the 2nd one, but you should choose what you feel is best and what will make you happy, after all, it is your photograph.

i agree with you, so i made another edit before i started working on the b&w, which should be up soon too.

there are two main differences between this version and the last edit: darker floor and slightly dimmer light. i also burned in a little to give some more contrast. please tell me what you think.

Sorry for the slow response - haven't been on in a few days. That's definitely the one I'd pick.
