Smart gallery setting error

I'm trying to setup a new smart gallery.
when I select 'smart rules' on the side tab, then press 'smart gallery setup'
I get taken to a new screen which stays blank 'http://mushy.smugmug.com/gallery/dynamic.mg'
Any idea's why this may be occurring?

When you click setup you should see the Smart Gallery Settings screen as seen here:



The link you included http://mushy.smugmug.com/gallery/dynamic.mg is missing quite a bit of detail, we'd be happy to check the specific gallery for you, can you please send us a link to the gallery you're trying to make smart?

I've fallen foul of this a few times, it took me ages to get it sussed...

IME, Smart Rules can only be applied to a pre-existing gallery, they can't be applied to one that's not already been "saved".

So, Create > Save then Customize > apply Smart Rules.

And watch out for that "Max # of photos to return" limit - if your "rule" returns more than 1000 photos, the whole thing goes to Hell in a handcart!

Awesome, I was trying to do a new gallery as a smart gallery.
Will try this tonight and see how I go.
