Browser Image Load Time Slow

Greetings. I have populated my galleries with images that have files sizes averaging 2 - 3 MB. I notice a delay of up to 30 seconds to load a slideshow with 10-12 images, and in general my site loads kind of slow on IE and FF.

I use DSL 3 MBS. I just did the SmugMug speed test and the numbers were Down=2.70, Up=.30. Would this be considered normal?

Thanks,
Frank

Frank, it depends. What I would suggest is making sure you are running on a clean connection and browser then give it another look. To do this, please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and shut down your computer. Once shut down, reset your router/modem, start your computer back up and give the upload another shot. To learn more about troubleshooting your connection, please have a look at the below link:

Thanks, Kevin. I'll do that. I have downloaded my site from other PCs on my network-same slowness. Would you load my site and let me know how fast the images/slideshow loads.

Also, what is your opinion of the image sizes I'm using and impact on load time.
    Cheers, Frank

    Heya Frank!

Everything loads super fast for me, and I actually have pretty slow Wifi. 2-3 MB is a pretty small file, so they should load pretty quick.
