A wasp with its Prey (and a Honey Bee on the Sedum)

I spotted this wasp flying around with a caterpillar it had caught looking for somewhere to enjoy its lunch. It decided of all places to land on one of our Gladioli which was in the process of blooming new flowers further up. Yet the hover landed by the lower flowers that had died off. They don't make for the nicest or easiest backgrounds or framing but I did what I could. Didn't want to miss this opportunity.

I only recently found out that because of the "waist" restriction wasps have they can only drink their food which I gather is mainly nectar, but some wasps also feed off secretions produced by the larvae.

It did fly off not long after these shots.
