Moved several galleries into to a different gallery and they didn't appear

I am so not understanding what has happened.. I am in the process of "archiving" many photos. I have been moving the gallery "2012-2012 Lipscomb Sports and Events" into the Lipscomb Archives then into 2012-2013 High School and Middle School Sports and Events. I was moving photos and all of a sudden they stopped appearing in the new gallery. There are 11 pages and everytime I move a gallery it still says 11 pages and the gallery they came from says it is empty.. it processes but i cant find those pictures anywhere ...I know there is a limit but I am no where close. I moved many basketball galleries into this gallery and none are there.. I know I moved them into the correct gallery. Are these pictures gone forever? I so pray they are not... Is there anyway I or anyone can see what exactly has happened??

Allen.. thank you for caring enough to help... I just found them after spending hours looking .. not sure what happened but they all got moved into another gallery with same title in a gallery where JR Customization is helping me with my site...
