Midge sleeping

I imagine that it is sleeping, or at least resting while it was night time. This midge is stood on an old thorn outlet or where another stem has been pruned, on the stem of the rose bush tonight.

New softbox used again (same a looper) which cost under £7 off Ebay...

Nice mate. Your softbox appears to work well. What are the dimensions and is the flash on the hot shoe or bracket? Also, have you tried it with a bit of styro-foam sheeting in just to see how it differs?

It's on the camera, on my little Metz.

What would the styro-foam do? Where would I get some? There's only a hole size enough for the flash head to fit something through.

    The softbox is 15cm x 17cm.

    Paul.

Styrofoam sheeting, generally electronic kit comes wrapped in it, quite possibly even your camera came in a styrofoam bag (though don't use that one :D).

I find it just softens the light that little bit more. Your light is really nice already but would be interesting to see how it differs.

Could be coaxed inside it or taped to the outside.
