Gracious, I can't remember the last time I saw a silverfish! Probably round the hearth at my mums house when I was just a lad. Latin name is the Thysanura (Acrotelsella devriesiana).
This one was spotted by a colleague at work on the floor, so I brought it home and when here, I plopped it onto a leaf from the garden. Christ, these buggers are fast! It almost swam away (their name is derived from the way they walk - they swerve like a swimming fish)...

Anyway, got 2 in reasonable focus, this one and a body shot, but this is definitely the better of the two.
