Looking at getting a new tower for home. What processor are people using with LR and Photoshop CS6 now days. I7? also would like recommendations for memory and video card

I did look at the i7's but the extra cost didn't justify small increase in speed.
I have 16GB ram and a pretty standard 1GB video card. Good for 2D not so good for 3D but I don't play games so not a problem.
I also have an SSD for the OS which makes a very big difference. All data etc is on SATA drives.
