Canon 60D - Inverted Image

The 60D has an articulated LCD screen that inverts the image as needed when the screen is rotated.... not any more on mine - happened intermittently at first, now consistent.

Anyone had this? Know what the repair entails? Cost?
Send to Canon - Irvine? Take to Local Camera Repair?

Thanks in advance for any info or advice!

Apparently there is an orientation sensor in the flip-out display. I suspect that the sensor has failed.

Regardless whether the camera is still covered by warranty, I recommend sending the camera to an authorized Canon repair facility. They should issue an estimate before repairs, allowing you to make a value judgement against the cost for repair.

If you are close enough to Irvine for a walk-in, why not? Otherwise:
