His forum name is "leftquark". The thread dealing with the slideshow he's been working on is here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=238292 I'm not sure you can do everything you see on his page yet, but you'll see plenty of code in that thread. Start at the first post & then do some skimming to find what you need & read some later ones. He's also got a fantastic list of modifications here; maybe you've already seen it... http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=237930 (Frequently Requested Simple Modifications) and it's got links to the more comprehensive mods like the slideshow. That's where I found that other link. Good luck!
