How can I shrink the photos on old journal mode and have the text wrap around them? Please refer to the one below under legacy smug. Thanks

There is no "old journal" mode in NewSmug, you referring to the legacy site?

There is no way to adjust the image size using Journal old. We recommend migrating to the new SmugMug. It makes customizing your site much easier.

Sorry I didn't make my question clear. I'm in the migration mode at the moment. However, when I open the journal style the images are really big and the texts appear below the image (please see below). In my legacy journal style the images are small and the texts are wrapped around them (please see the first post). Can I have the same effect under the new smug?

If you had a gallery locked into Journal (Old) in legacy smug that will show in the new smug as Journal - which is a large photo with the text below the image.

The Journal (Old) style doesn't exist in the new smug. If you want something similar to that style you will need to build a page, placing a photo and text blocks on that page.

On legacy this page shows how a photo was put in with text using html. You could probably build the
same in NewSmug in html boxes.

Here's a test using a NewSmug page with a html box.

Create a page, then drag in an HTML content block from the content menu. It's toward the bottom of the list.

If you'd like to see a couple of examples of pages, about and kaleidoscope on my site are pages. They are made up of text blocks, photo blocks, and HTML/CSS blocks.

Thanks Denise. Your site is really nice.

How can I create a page by the way? Is there any instruction for basic 1,2,3?

    Thank you!

    Here's a starting help page - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1210637-customization-how-do-i-create-and-customize-pages-.

You create a page, then you will need to open that page and drag content blocks to it.

So basically I have to create a new page with html and css to get the old journal effect? Is new smug going to add back that feature? I have 50 such pages and it is hell to do one by one!

Allen, thank you for your help. How can I get the gallery and photo numbers?

EDIT: 1) Can I remove all the "Link 1", "Link 2" ..... ? 2) Can I set the width for the text area (which is now stretchy in your code)? and 3) for the photos can I set the width only (the height will be automatically adjusted according to the size of the pictures and the width being set).

    Many thanks!
