As a complete newbie, my old smugmug was perfect when i needed to do something i just opened the box and clicked to add content.
Now I have no idea what a breadcrumb a widget or anything else is,Smugmug has totally alienated me that i am more than seriously considering moving on, after all why pay to have a new site designed when under the old way I could happily do it myself
Now my business is under pressure as I cant gt the guest book added easily or organise the site with ease..progress this is not!
As a new business with not much disposable income smugmug was a way forward, now i'm at a complte loss and feel my business image is suffering:help

Although not an end-all solution, SmugMug has a number of tutorial videos showing you the basics to the new smugmug. They cover things like the breadcrumb, and the other content blocks that are available.
My experience is that the site is actually MUCH more easy to organize than before. If you go to Organize -> Organize site you'll be taken to your site heirarchy. From there all you have to do for organization is to drag folders and galleries around. This is much simpler than before where you had to go to the specific gallery, go to gallery settings, and change its Category. Much nicer now in my opinion.
Is the only thing you're struggling with right now the guest-book? Are you looking for some other help?
To do that, do the following (Copying a post made from Allen):
I would go into the organizer and highlight your name at the top on the left. Then click "create" > page.
Go to the new page and drag a text or html box on to it. Maybe next to it a photo box.
Under that you can drag a comment box.
Adding the page at the top level provides a direct path to it without going thru folders.
