We wanted to shoot at the beach, but also wanted to stay away from typical beach stuff. We shot at Ft Pickens at Pensacola Beach,FL.

    Really nice set John!

Numbers 4 and 5 really tickle my fancy.

6 not so much. Too much light on the legs. It overpowers the image.

    Like nine a lot too!

Was this one of the forts on the NAS?

Thanks, these were taken at Ft Pickens, which is across the bay from NAS.

I agree on 6, I'm filing this one away mentally for lighting this kind of pose. The light was just to camera right. Should have moved it.

Nice set, pretty girl. Personally, going forward I'm avoiding posing my subjects like in 6. I realized it's the chrome silhouette trucker mudflap pose.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Thanks. I don't care if its on a mudflap, its a classic and flattering pose for the right model. :D

True, I should have clarified that I won't be posing senior portraits that way. Unless they ask I guess. But I wonder for other models... is it overdone? Cliche? Kind of like a rock band posing on railroad tracks?

I think all poses have been done. It's a matter of lighting, model, dress, and setting. The classics are classics for a reason. And I also refuse to do train tracks. :D
