I have had SM for years and I am baffled by the fact a customer pays for a photo and the money goes directly to SM, why in the **** does it not go to my account immediately? I do consider this a bug, maybe just plain fishy. They must collect a lot of interest on monies until the imposed threshold is reached. Just curious how other SM users feel.

Fishy? Really? SM has been doing pro sales for nearly 10 years. Paying out $millions to SM Pros. SM handles the transaction, provides the customer service, and pays you the money - monthly - I'm failing to see the issue. Oh nad have you looked at checking account interest rates lately? rolleyes1.gif

Really - not everyone is fortunate enough to reach the required amount every month. I guess that means Smugmug arbitrarily feels we don't need the money on a monthly basis..

What I recommend to people is they set a reminder on their calendar to request the SmugMug payment each month on the 28th day. That way you are assured you will receive a payment each month. As long as you go into your Account Settings and request a payment today you will be paid on the first business day following the 7th of October. If you request the payment each month you will always be paid the following month.

You don't need to reach the minimum.

If you have filled out your online tax and payment form but do not have over $500 in profits at the end of the month, you may request payment through our online form here. You must have at least $5 of profits first ($10 for international Pros). After that payment, we'll resume the normal monthly schedule.

wave.gif sorry you took that personally - it's all just meant to make a little fun, and to dispel the notion that you put out - that SM won't pay you unless you have a certain amount.
