When exiting Lightbox after clicking through photos, not all thumbs display

I've got a somewhat random scenario that I've seen many times now. I can't always reproduce it. If I go into one of my galleries that has several photos in it, open the first photo in the gallery in light box, click through all or many of the photos in the gallery, and then click the X to exit light box, the gallery doesn't display all of the thumbs. The thumb displays start with a photo partway into the gallery. The only way I can find to get all of the thumbs to display again is to get out of the gallery and go back in. I've seen it tonight in these two galleries, but can't always reproduce it:

I've run into it on other galleries too. My galleries are all collage landscape.
