Linked photos not loading

Hi all
Some of my photos in a gallery are not showing.

In legacy those photos were linked/sourced from a folder that is protected and I'm assuming that's the problem.

However, if I go into organize I can see the photos in both folders so not sure what's wrong. I was thinking to upload again but it takes time and also right now I can't find them on my hard drive.

Any leads on how to resolve this?

If the images are from passworded galleries then they will not show for visitors to your site. The images can only be from unlisted or public galleries to show in collected galleries.

Your photos will show from passworded galleries in smart galleries if you set External Embedding on.

I created a smart gallery from keywords from passworded galleries and they all show. Course I
passworded the smart gallery. But it worked before adding the PW.

Thanks. I've decided to move the images from the protected gallery to the other, which solved the problem.

What I don't understand is that in the "organize" page the images were actually shown to be in both galleries, as if the were stored double. There was no indication (or didn't find one) that one of the files was actually just a virtual copy of the original, which was in the protected gallery. If I had had many files linked like that in legacy it would have been a problem.
