Hummingbirds with different lenses
So, for giggles i decided to pit my 55-250 IS II against my 70-200 F4L USM :huh
Not really a test of what's a better lens per say, more of a "what's more applicable in the field" type of thing.
1st up. 55-250 IS II. While sharper and a little more accurate that its predecessor, the slow AF makes for some frustration and more than a few missed shots...but when you get'em...

It kinda make it all worth while. :barb
Now for my beloved 70-200 F/4L USM. :lust Super fast AF, excellent contrast. While it does not have IS it tends to force the operator to rely on the cameras ISO capabilities once that big light bulb in the sky begins to descend. Still the AF better than expected in these situations, some slight hunting but more than acceptable. :thumb

Not trying to preach one lens or the other. Each has its quirks, but as always boils down to the one snapping the shot.
Happy shooting all
