I've spent HOURS today creating a new color theme for my wedding galleries. Literally. The designers at the museum I used to work at would be proud at how wrapped up I became. I can recall them making changes to exhibit colors AFTERED I'd painted their spec'd choices... LOL

Anyway, here's my sample gallery with my (what I think is a good choice late at night after a busy day, and few cocktails...) latest combo I can show.

PS: to be fair, I may change stuff even before anyone clicks that link...

Haha! That's pretty funny. Very attractive scheme, btw. So yeah, I will be spending hours on the same thing, I'm sure. Art majors... what else can you do?! eek7.gif What I'd like to know is whether you can make color themes like this in SmugMug-style galleries? I'm not migrated yet, but I assume that's the "Collage Style" gallery you're using. I keep seeing varied themes in collage style (not many as handsome as yours though!) but I'm not seeing them in SmugMug style. Keeping fingers crossed here til I hear the answer...

The Theme you use is just the colors and CSS you apply to a gallery. So, if you sort out the CSS to modify how you want any gallery style it's all down hill from there. Once you have your CSS effects, you an set up a test gallery to experiment on. Just copy the relevant CSS from the main theme to your experimental theme. Note where you made color choices in CSS for link colors, hover effects, etc. Play with colors in the Theme Tab> Theme Name> "wrench icon" menu. There are three main colors to choose from. Go nuts... it's a sample gallery. Right? You should have seen some of the aberrations I created...

    Good tools to play with:

    Color Scheme Designer 3.

    Color Wheel thing-a-jiggy.

PS: Damn, this Bowey mix rocks...

Looks great, Ron! I know how it is, I'm addicted to spending hours tweaking my site design until it's just right. Unfortunately I can definitely tell you from experience, you gotta be careful and budget your time per month that you spend being a perfectionist about these things! So if you're looking for validation that this is "ready for business", I can definitely say that your design looks awesome enough to sustain a successful biz. ...But that's just one man's opinion... :-)
