LR5 Publish plugin not working or updating

Hi, my LR5 Smugmug plugin has stopped working for some reason. It refuses to update galleries, or pretty much to anything but sit there. After some time it returns an error saying that my browser did something wrong. My Current version is 1.0.6.8. I have tried updating to the latest version, but the plug in manager responds that it cannot because "failed to move the old plugin out of the way"

    I know that I have had issues updating the plugin before (I am on LR4) and a manual delete is needed. Once gone, you can place the new version in its' place.

    Hey blotzphoto,

    Can you check that the plugin or the folder it's contained in aren't set to read-only. This is the most common reason for this error.
