recent photos page might not show photos

With the help from Denise, I added a 'recent photos' page.

WHen in preview mode it works all the time, when looking at the published version (or logged out i guess), it may not show photos.....

Im super new at working with this new SM editing so I may have screwed something up but have no idea.

Could someone offer some assistance on this issue?

I don't know the criteria for recent photos but I've looked at your site by date (/date) and I see that you only have 2 photos showing with a date between September 1st and today. Does that sound right?

One of those photos does not have a date taken and the other has a date taken in August.

When you set up your recent photos page, what did you set for the number of photos to display? Does it make a difference if you change that value? A long shot I know - and I'm sure I'm grasping at straws here - but it might be worth changing that value, publishing, then looking at the page in a browser where you are not logged in.

2 photos - yes that sounds more or less correct. the one photo with no date info may have been a flim photo (from a pinhole camera), so no exif. but i assume it would go by upload date??

Now - you indicated the dates, well - tbh, i never could see on the new system where i could dictate the date criteria, just how many photos to show. the old site i could use a piece of css code to dicate the time frame to go back - i chose 14 days on that site. Maybe I just didnt see it...

when in preview, i tried several values, 12,24 and i think 48? i think i settled on auto and as far as i know it showed them all. but again, once i log out - no photos. but i will play around with it, im off for the next few days so lots of time.

OK, edit: auto didnt work for me, i think i changed it back to like 12 and it seems to be working...odd, yes just checked, changed number of photos to custom, and the number to 12

still have a few miner things id like to change but im getting there (like removing the photo captions from appearing when you hove your mouse over the image).
