Beautiful Golden Y

As opposed the the Plain Golden Y, this young Beautiful Golden Y moth had recently emerged from it cocoon - the wife found it on the inside of our garden waste wheelie bin, so it must have been on something we've gardened into it.
I encouraged it onto a flower on the clematis and it stayed there for a short while while I lined up the camera. Just as I pressed the shutter, I think it started vibrating its wings (as these moths do) and moments afterwards it took off.

Lovely sharp focus on the eye Paul, and additionally, well controlled exposure on the stamen.

Ian - the plain Y doesn't have the silvery slivers on the wings.
