Tools working?

When viewers click on a photo on my homepage, I have selected the option to take them to the gallery where they will see the whole collection in the same category, but it doesn't work like that.

Whether I choose, "Go to Gallery" or "Open Lightbox" the click opens Lightbox and the viewer has to press escape to get to the gallery. Or is that just for me when I'm logged in. I'll have to log out and verify that.

Which brings me to another question that is probably obvious, but not to me: Is there a visitor view?

there is no visitor view. If you want to see your site as a viewer would I'd recommend using two different browsers - one logged in and one logged out. Obviously you would need to publish your changes before seeing them in the logged out browser.

This makes things a bit harder if you are still transitioning from the old to the new SM. Once logged out the new SM is no longer available.

That's true. Once you unveil you can use a different browser but while you have both sites you are limited to preview.
