Really stopped updating or just being slow? How long ago did you upload your photos?

I noticed that in the past few weeks it becomes really slow from time to time. Last weekend i uploaded a few photos and it took hours until they appeared in my recent photos block. Later on the same day it worked again like normal.

Here is a thread that also mentions that SM is slow atm...

It's working here. Sometimes they show up immediately on my Recent Photos page, sometimes it takes a while.

Well... i thinkk it's very clear now that the SmugMug-service is really slow every now and then and it looks like the service is re-indexing existing pictures and updating recent photos content blocks from time to time. This is not user specific.

My Recent photos content block was up2date this morning when i uploaded two more photos. Right now, three hours later, six of my previously uploaded photos are gone from recent photos and the latest uploads do not appear on my recent photos content block yet.

I bet that these photos will be back soon when re-indexing is finished. Any my latest uploads will be picked up then also.

It would be a great thing if SmugMug would tell us when re-indexing get started or at least would let us know when this is sheduled (i.e. every sunday 0am) or at least leave a note on the status page that re-indexing is in progress.

I've just had a look at my site for the first time today expecting to see the three I uploaded last night (maybe 16 + hours ago) but only one of them is there on my Recent page. It does seem pretty random headscratch.gif

Nope... not random... i got one more since my reply a few mins ago. Just wait a few more minutes, hours... the missing pictures will be back soon.

I had this more then once in the past few weeks. This is getting normal to me.

Just to prevent more "bug reports" it would be nice if there would be a clear awnser when this is sheduled. The status page says "everything ok".

P.S. Oh, ok... you mean they do not appear in order of being uploaded. Yes,... just checked and that is true, same here. I think that must have something to do with the algorithm of the indexer.

Interesting. I see the photos that I shot and uploaded on Friday but yesterday's photos are missing. There is definitely a problem here.

Not really a problem... it is still indexing... while i was working on the screenshot below i got one more photo back in my recent photos block.

The screenshot here shows that two photos from my gallery are there but from the gallery there are still a few missing (those with the red circle around it). Those were there earlier this morning.

As i get more and more in the past few minutes i'm sure they will be all back. Just curious if this is sheduled for sunday since i mostly recognized that on weekends (while i normally not work on my site from monday to friday...).

Some of my keyword indexing took all day yesterday. Haven't tried yet today.

I still only have one of yesterdays. I'm about to upload a few more - sometimes that seems to kick start it and they will suddenly all appear, there is no rhyme or reason to it.
