Cover Photo Aspect Ratio

I have the stretchy setting on and it stretching the cover photo panoramic shot out of proportion and making it blurry. I can make it less blurry by changing the image to "original" size but I don't want to do that. Can I use CSS to maintain the panoramic image original aspect ration while using the stretchy setting?
