Two questions on gallery set up for a future date

1) Is it possible to set up a gallery to upload at a later date?
2) Or can an unlisted gallery be set to automatically change to a public at a future date?

You can create a gallery without uploading to it.

I don't know of any way to change an unlisted gallery to public automatically; you will need to edit the settings for the gallery. If you are creating multiple galleries within a folder you could make the folder unlisted and leave the galleries as inheriting the settings from the folder. When you want to make the set of galleries public you would then only need to change the folder form unlisted to public.
