Butterfly stuff

Some shots of a speckled wood butterfly I managed to lure onto a honey/sugar syrup laden gaillardia flower, couldn't quite fit it in at 1:1 with the NPE-65, plus a couple of shots of the first butterfly pupa I've found in the garden. Think it belongs to a red admiral butterfly. It's hanging under one of the aluminium struts on my greenhouse (outside). All shots have been focus stacked using zerene.

Superb shots Brian. Don't often see speckled woods underwings or feeding!

Gorgeous shots. Such a shame about the tip of the wing in #1 but sometimes it happens. It still doesn't detract from a beautifully detailed and colourful shot
