Cant Seem To Properly Add Folders Via LR Plugin

Hello All,

I have been a long time reader but have not posted much. I have just moved over to the new SmugMug and have installed the new LR4 SmugMug plugin. Many of the folders within the galleries are now showing 0 photos in Lightroom and many of the folders have wrong pictures in the (within) the SmugMug publishing section however on my website they are in the right folders.

Finally when i add a folder to a gallery in Lightroom in the SmugMug plugin it places the folder but i am unable to add any photos to the folder to send to Smugmug.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

First, make a backup of your catalog for safety.

Make sure you have the latest plugin 2.0.4.0

Run a sync hierarchy

Then right click on a gallery in the publish manager and click edit gallery.
Check the sync photos box, then click 'edit'.
If the photos are in your LR catalog and on the SmugMug site, you should see them populate.

I think the issue with the folders not populating is that i uploaded these photos before i had Lightroom or they were when i had an old catalog. I got a new computer at the beginning of 2013 and started a new 2013 catalog. I guess that is why they wont back populate from Smugmug to the Lightroom Smugmug app.

The bigger problem i am having now is when i add a folder to a gallery as shown below (in blue outline). I try to drag pictures to the "new folder" and i get a circle with a slash through it and i can not drop the pictures in that folder to publish them to Smugmug.

Hey mudhog,

What you're trying to drag that onto is a folder/category which you can't add photos to. You can only add photos to a gallery.
