A fellow photographer and I hiked up to Lake Blanche on 10/6; and what we thought would be an easy hike was a great challenge LOL - We started at 12:30, arrived to the top around 3; spent two hours photographing the lake (We totally missed 2 other lakes and some waterfalls, but we didn't have time) Then we left at 5:30 and got to the bottom at 8.
About 1/4th of the way down we were hiking down in the dark, over snow, ice and rocks. Not quite fun....and our tripods were used as Canes because our legs were in so much pain. But I believe it was well worth the trek and I want to do it again! But in less snowy circumstances
Here's my favorites from the brief time up there:

The texture and lines from the underwater grass in #1 really complete this image. Well done!

Many people that hike this spot camp frequently and it's on my bucket list for next summer. Would be perfect for stars, sunrise and sunset.
