Account Settings: unsaved changes glitch?

From my homepage, if I click "Account Settings" and go through the "Verify Login" process I land on my "Me" page and "Account" tab. All good so far.

From there I usually click the "Stats" icon and lo and be threed it opens the stats page.

But this evening, without making any changes on the "Account" page, when I click on the "Stats" icon I get a warning message box that I've never had before:

"Unsaved Changes!! You've made changes on this page which will be lost if you leave this tab."
Options are "Cancel", "Continue Anyway" and "Save and Continue".

Well, no, I haven't made any changes, so it must be a glitch/bug/whatever. It was OK yesterday, it started playing up this evening.

Any idea what's going on?

Hmmm, nope. Are you able to recreate it?

Well, it happened every time I tried yesterday, despite reloads and cache-clearances. I'll have another go.

Tried again, still happening. I get the warning whichever tab I click in the box. I don't get the warning if I try to leave via options in the SM header bar.

Any news on this yet? It's more than five weeks later and I still get this erroneous pop-up message every time I try to view my stats after the "Verify Login" process.

Since I can't see this mentioned in the thread, did you ever try to click on the "save and continue" button? I ran into this once before on one of my many accounts and if I clicked on "continue anyway", it would always come up again the next time until I clicked on save. Saving fixed it for me permanently.

Yes, tried that. It puts up this screen with the red box and message:

Looks like your web browser is automatically filling in the "current password" box for you (because it thinks you're trying to log on). That makes SmugMug think that you're halfway through trying to change your account password.

If you're correct, then that would be a juicy irony - Firefox won't (or SM won't allow Firefox to) automatically fill either my email addy or my password in the bona fide login screens where they ARE needed, but they will happily automatically fill them in the Account page where they're NOT wanted!
    WTF?

    You were right!

So how is it that the Account page can be auto-filled by Firefox, but the Login page can't? Surely this proves that there is something wrong with the Login page, and that the lack of auto-fill there isn't a Firefox-related issue?
