This particularly shiny (and tough to avoid highlights might I add) Black Harlequin Ladybird(Bug) landed on my arm around 11pm a few evenings ago outside at a friends house. I put it in a jar so I could take it home and photograph it.

Here are a few shots of it circumnavigating the top of the jar before flying off somewhere in the house to where, I have absolutely no idea :). I'm expecting my son to find it, he manages that quite well hehe.

It did NOT stay still for even a moment.

I spotted this plant bug on one of our flowers yesterday.
