Had a good session with this lacewing. Managed to cut the leaf it was on and take it to a wheelie bin lid for some "studio" shots. All shots focus stacked using zerene.

Beautiful shots Brian. I like the way in #2 it's almost an identical hue of green to the leaf and then the lovely contrast of the blues. Only seen one lacewing this year myself.
Nice shots Brian (LordV). Miss you over at the Fred Miranda forum... Someone posted that you were over here so I came and signed up. I only post in one thread over in their macro forum now, I really didn't like how Tom handled his rant.
Oh! How did you do the stereogram? That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! I kept trying to touch it and would mess up my view.

Thanks for the comments Ian and trickster - appreciated.
Re FM - Yes I might expect that sort of thing from one or two of the members but not from the moderator.
Re the stereogram - it's two different shots taken with a little sideways movement of the camera between the shots. The movement is about 1/30th of the subject distance. More info in #6 here http://www.flickr.com/groups/mimicry/discuss/66514/
