[Fixed] Unlisted gallery is not unlisted?

I just uploaded a new gallery to

It is the "Healy Family" gallery, and when I am logged in, it shows as unlisted. However, I saw in my statcounter stats that someone visited it by navigating to it from the link above. I opened the link above in an incognito window in Chrome (thus I am logged out), and yep, wouldn't you know, the gallery shows as public.

This is sort of a major glitch, isn't it?? :huh:huh:huh

Also, I just went ahead and attempted to re-apply the unlisted setting, and it didn't make a difference.

And ALSO, very strange, I have four other empty, unlisted galleries right next to that one. When I go into a logged out window, TWO of the four show up. Shouldn't empty galleries not show anyway, and besides, they are UNLISTED, so they definitely shouldn't show! (But why are only SOME of them showing?? I am soooooo confused...)

Yeah, that's really not supposed to be happening...

(The navigation block that's showing them is a Galleries block set to show galleries-at-this level, if this helps debugging)

I have other folders with mixed listed/unlisted galleries that are not having this problem. It only seems to be that one

I wonder if it is something to do with the galleries being created in Lightroom? Although ALL of my galleries are created through LR, so I don't think that could be it...

I've just fixed this for you - a bit of caching was going on which wasn't reflecting the setting update.

I never changed the setting... it was always Unlisted... just sayin'

OK, so I just did this again and had the same problem. I created a smart gallery in LR and made it unlisted from the second it was created. When I am logged in, it says "Unlisted" all over it. It doesn't even have any photos in it yet. When I view the folder logged out, I can see the gallery.

There are five empty, unlisted galleries. Betcha anyone who clicks it can see one of them.

This seems to be a BUG. Is it a LR plugin bug or a SM bug? Not sure...

Yes, but that is an unlisted gallery. That's my point. The other ones were created a while ago, before the latest plugin update to LR, if that matters. "Engagement" is a brand new one that I just made today, using the settings in the LR plugin. When I am logged in, it says "Unlisted" on it, as it should. But when logged out, it shows up for anybody.

Just to update everybody - this is a bug that is being looked at - probably Lightroom plugin related from what I gathered from the conversation I had with the helpdesk.

I've just done some testing and all galleries created with LR had the correct Privacy setting. Note: this was when the Privacy setting were manually selected from the dropdown list.

Did you select this using a quick setting ? If so can you please details on the Quick Setting you used.

I tracked down the cause of this problem, it's due to creating a Quick Setting with privacy set to Private, then using that quick setting to create a gallery in Lightroom. Full steps to reproduce:

This is a backend issue rather than a LR bug. I've just pushed a fix which will prevent it happening for any newly created galleries. Another sorcerer will be looking into the issue for any existing galleries.

Any unlisted galleries that were previously showing as public should now be unlisted again.
