Transition url: What about my old sub-domain?

I used to have a sub-domain (photos.toddbuchanan.com) pointed to my smugmug site and then with the new redsign, I decided to have SM as my main site. So I still have a number of clients out there who still are trying the old link (photos.toddbuchanan.com) and since the change in DNS settings for toddbuchanan.com, I don't have an additional cName record for the photos.toddbuchanan.com anymore.
Here is my current set-up (I'm using NetSol for DNS settings/hosting):
Can I add a CName record of photos.xxxxx.com (so I get photos.toddbuchanan.com going again) so that my clients will be forwarded/taken to toddbuchanan.com? Or will that screw up my current settings?
