Single Click Entry to Galleries?

Hello

I have tried to post this question twice on the "new smugmug customization" forum but was unsuccessful in getting any responses, so I am hoping I can get help here???

I know this has been addressed in previous threads, but I can't recall a resolution being offered.

(This question pertains to folders that contain only a single image gallery)

Currently, I have to click twice to enter a gallery from the folder in which it is placed. First click to open the folder contents, and a second click to open and reveal the images contained within the gallery.

Is there a way of opening and revealing the images within a gallery with "one click" on the folder containing the gallery?

Several viewers have stated the two click entry is confusing and some never knew the second click would actually open the gallery.

I see that Zack Schneph has successfully worked around this problem on his site. One click takes you directly into his galleries.

Please be specific with any advice offered.

My site is shanemcdermottphotography.com

Thanks,

Shane

Yes, create a "folders, pages, galleries" box and use "Items I choose".
You can put the gallery on the page instead of the folder that contains it.
You also can put galleries in front of folders which you can't do otherwise.

    It's discussed here...

That works, but there's another way - have multiple content blocks on the page. It allows flexibility regarding layout because they can be configured independently if required (different widths and margins, separator between, better title control etc.)

My homepage (http://beardedgit.smugmug.com/) uses this multi-block arrangement - it has a Galleries block above a Folders block. The Galleries block goes straight to a specific gallery using the "Galleries I Choose" setting.
    Yippee ki-yay, footer-muckers!
