    Love the faces and getting in close. I don't shoot football (well, not this kind) and have seen (elsewhere) so many posted with backs and sides and faces in shadow, nice to see.

    First the compliment. You have captured some nice action.

    Now for the bad news. Except for #1 the white balance or processing of the photos takes away from the capture of the action. Some look like they are cartoons and others the stadium lights have the players look like they are jaundiced.

    First Thank you and second I agree 100% the lights are very bad at this field and as they cycle you get every frame with diffrent wb. So that said I would have to do a lot of PP.

    Regarding white balance, can presetting manual white balance with a grey card help to at least get within an acceptable range as a starting point?

    Nice shots. -FACT - Face, Action, Contact, Toy (ball, stick, etc.) - get all four in a sports shot and you have winner.

    Thank you!! as for the manual WB I have a disc that works great instead of a grey card but when the lights cycle its a mood point. It just something I have to deal with.
