Make Gallery Settings Dialog Wider

To customize a Gallery, I add quite a bit of html code and text into the description box of the gallery settings dialog. It is much, much to small to work with for any amount of text. Just dragging the lower right corner makes it tall (for just that invocation) but there is no way to make it wider.

I have tried to override the sm-panel-content css setting on my sitewide configuration, however that appears to not work, I'm guessing this panel code is loaded and initialized before the sitewide css is loaded.

Anyway, it would be very helpful to have an editing area (at all levels and dialogs) that is 80 chars wide, but at the very least fix the gallery settings dialog to make it wider, much much wider.

If anyone knows a hack to customize it, let me know!

Thanks!

    Hi Keith,

At the moment there is no possibility to make the gallery description window to be wider - you can make it only higher.

But have you thought of adding a HTML block instead of adding the code to the gallery description? The HTML block is much larger than the description box in the gallery settings section - please see my screenshot:

    Take care,

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the tip. Yes I thought about that but didn't want to add another element to the web page since the description was already built in. It is too bad we cannot have the description section look like that dialog. I really thought I could hack it with some creative css.

My work around for now, is I use gvim to edit and get the description like I want it and then copy and paste it into the little tiny text area.

This is a feature that is sorely needed. I've never understood why such a tiny space was supplied to enter a description.

I had a hack in legacy smug that gave me a nice big box, not available now...
