OMG. So Sorry. Didn't see that bit.
But - it didn't work. I changed it to -20px, then -2 (not sure what the "-" means). Nothing changed.

I think you need to read my posts more carefully I've explained what the negative means maybe 3 times in this thread. Lets try again: the "Top" command tells the code to leave a gap of <X> pixels from the top (aka pushing something DOWN). By putting a negative value, you're saying, push it UP. Your + and - icons are too low, so a negative TOP means to move it UP by whatever pixels.

Send me your HTML again. It should work. I tested it with your code.
